The Full Story
About
My name is Jim Saint-Amour.
I am originally from the beautiful region of Upstate New York. I had the great fortune to gain a formal education in percussion from the outset. I began my lessons in the 5th grade, continuing through middle and high school. I then went on to earn my B.A. in Music from the State University of New York College at Oswego. I hold a Certificate of Completion from the Collective School of Music in New York City.
My musical journey took me from upstate New York to Los Angeles, New York City, and Southwest Florida. I enjoyed four months at sea in a showband on a P&O cruise ship in the South Pacific.
I am a full-time professional steel drum player and percussionist. I perform in the southwest Florida area at private golf and living communities, wedding ceremonies, senior homes, restaurants, and bars. My music repertoire ranges from pop and rock music of the 1950s through the present day. I sing and perform with backing tracks, and can provide the vibraphone or steel drum as my main instrument.
Mission
My aim is to always bring a unique, excellent, and professional experience to my audiences! I hold my clients in the highest esteem, and will go above and beyond to make sure that their experience with me meets their exacting expectations.
Vision
My sets for your event can be tailored to your specific needs. Would you like me to cover a specific genre of music? Or would you like me to portray a particular atmosphere? I can provide this with a repertoire of hundreds of songs supported by professional DJ / backing tracks, along with a single or many combinations of percussion instruments. You can count on me to provide a musical experience that is memorable and satisfying to you and the members of your party!
